Thanks everyone for joining, commenting, but most of all, your patience. The Trib has cut off any means of getting the word out about this forum. I took Mr. Dudley's advice and put it all out there on the search engines so that it will eventually show up. Until then, we are pretty much hanging out in the wind, but a forum is only as good as it's members, and we have a good start. Now we just have to recruit some more folks so we don't bore each other to tears.

Yes promotion is great but we need to have the attraction as well. Presenting great debate topics of all kinds will help a lot in that.

Someone might have someone hand out some quarter page flyers on campus.

Something we each might do is get a message out to those who we know and who complained when they heard of the changes coming, while we still can easily. Do you suppose the paper would like to write an article about this? I didn't either.

PM's and emails are the only way to get through to the trib members. I got an email today, warning me that promotion of any site is strictly prohibited and if I persisted, that I would be banned. I was rather surprised that I even got a warning instead of being summarily banished.

I see a lot of familiar faces here. It is amazing, since the trib announced its new policy I have had multiple invites to forums like this. Glad to be a part of the refugee camp. Thanks CD for the link.

Oh I'm there, and pretty much a known pain in the ass. There are, of course, some members that I can't hold a candle to in that area, but I'm working on it.
