Some Good Missouri News

Post  Admin on Sat Dec 11, 2010 10:52 am

I thought that this was a big change from the news we generally read about. I know that good news doesn't sell, but I found this to be quite an amazing story. Just thinking what it would be like to adopt ten children was a jaw dropper for me.
Faith: Family of 10 adopted children makes joyful noise

The singing group Twice Adopted, composed of 10 adopted children from three countries, is in the Kansas City area this weekend. They are (front row from left) Miguel, Antonio and Cassi, and back row from left, Kimi, Karli, Keri, Katie, Callie, Kaylia and Christy. The group is performing at Grace Bible Church in Stilwell this weekend.
Antonio was to give Karli a little push, but he accidentally shoved too hard. Karli fell over backward but kept singing while lying on her back and kept singing while getting back up. She didn’t miss a beat.

The crowd loved it.

With 10 adopted children from three countries, the singing group Twice Adopted has lots of stories.

Seven children are from Guatemala, two from Peru and one from Missouri. Most were adopted as babies; they now range in age from 13 to 20. They live in Troy, Mo., northwest of St. Louis, and perform regularly in Branson and across the country.

This weekend the group is doing its Christmas show at Grace Bible Church in Stilwell in Johnson County, with the final performance at 7 tonight.

The children’s parents, Randy and Linda Koenig, had no idea they would end up with a family of 10 children when they began their adoption journey in 1990. They had been married 11 years and were unable to have children.
